Every once in a while I get a few minutes that I am able to jot down a few words at work. That happened today in a class that I am in twice. This is something I wrote today:
Almost 2 PM, looking out the window, the wind is blowing--hard it seems. The trees are coated with ice. I can see ice being pulled from the trees by the wind. Whatever the precipitation that is falling from the sky is passing by my window of vision in mostly horizontal waves.
By the time I was out of work, a half hour later the wind seemed to have died down. The drive home was okay. It didn't start freezing rain until I was almost home. My happy for today is that I am back with the seventh grade students. Of course I miss the eighth graders, but they are in good hands.
