Friday!

Today I took a personal day so I was able to go out with some of the family and shop for tools and things.  I started pulling weeds from where I am hoping to put the strawberries but it will take a while.  Since I can't use the topsy turvy strawberry planter for the strawberries I started some other plants by seed today.  Some websites suggested peppers or tomatoes and another herbs, so I have started some of these.  There were some little seed starter things in the shed.  According to some of the packages it is already late to be starting some of them.  Right on time for others.  We still have a huge amount of work ahead of us if we are going to have much of a garden.

K and I did a little live Facebook this afternoon to say hello to the Barony.  It was good.  We may do a meet next time so that people can talk to us, not just text.  It was hard for me to keep up with the texts that were coming in and contribute to the conversation.  It was definitely worth it though.  We miss our Barony and friends.  Isn't technology wonderful?  We are able to be remote and still communicate over long distances.  Getting to do this and hear from folks is my happy for today.

A few other happy things:

• Garlic bread.
• Doing things, any things, as a family.
• There was a storm this afternoon.  We put some screen doors in before it started and had fresh pre-rain smell in the house for a while.  It was uplifting.
• K and E singing together.
• We have lilies of the valley.
• Lilacs are starting to bloom.
• A member of the Barony made me a lovely field coronet!
