Last night, after I wrote, we had a problem with the straps that were holding things on the rough of the car. We had to pull over to fix it. It took some time and it is all fixed now. While we were stopped, the comet Neowise was just barely visible in the sky. So C and E got to see it too. We drove as long as we could before finding a picnic area on the side of the road to try and sleep. We stayed there until just before dawn and the drove some more. Today started in eastern Texas and ended at a hotel in Tennessee. I am extraordinarily grateful to E's father and his extra hotel points for getting us the room. What I hope to be a good night's sleep is my
happy for today.
