Productivity Day

Often when I walk, I think about things that I may write about here.  Then when I sit down to write, I forget it all.  Such is the case tonight.  There were things that I had planned out in my head that have completely poofed away.  When I left for my walk tonight it was dark.  One of the things I found with unpacking was a bright yellow fall/winter vest.  I decided that yellow was a much better color than my usual dark maroon or blue.  K agreed and then offered to light me up.  She draped little LED lights around me and off I went.  I felt all Christmas-y as I walked.  Perhaps the lights distracted me enough to forgot all the things I wanted to write.  However, there was a smile on my face for quite some time and it returns whenever I think of wearing the lights on my walk.  Other happy things:

  • The writing for NaNoWriMo today was done before breakfast.  Had I had the time, I would have written again.  Instead I was productive in other ways.
  • The dishes were also done before breakfast.  I told K I would do them if she emptied the dishwasher before she went to bed last night.  There were a lot of dishes yesterday.  Then I got distracted and I cleaned the microwave and stove.  I also tried to rearrange some of the things in the kitchen.  Only the tea got moved, and then it was time to stop and have breakfast.
  • I planted crocuses by yesterday's tulips.
  • I went through six or seven boxes.  It was my limit of stuff in a day.  Fewer boxes would have been less overwhelming.  More importantly, there is less stuff in my life now.  😉
  • Most of my wardrobe for the week is ready to go.  I'm trying to not have to think about some of the little things that take time in the morning.
  • It is my last week and I have decided to wear fun socks every day to work.
  • I finally got a picture of the house from outside with the holiday lights on.
  • Quiche for dinner by E!

It is me, my exhusband and his father in Mexico.

The house all lit up!

Me all lit up!

Stay safe.

  1. The shot from Mexico looks like you and B. The house looks cheerful and you look wonderful decked out in your yellow vest with lights. How you must have brought smiles to people that drove past you. 😄
