Fall Planting

It is quite possibly too late in the season; the package did include November for the planting window though.  Today Z and I planted some tulips in the front area by the driveway.  We also planted some garlic in the garden.  I planted some paperwhites by the sidewalk too.  I'm not sure if any of these things will come up in the spring, but we tried.  There should be some crocuses coming next week to plant around the tulips.  Other happy things for today are:

  • Some sorting of things in boxes happened and I was able to say goodbye to some things.  Other things were a hello, and some other a hello-for now.
  • Gideon and I made corn chowder for dinner tonight.  It was a satisfying meal.
  • What I wrote today for NaNoWriMo actually had a beginning, middle and end.  Just five paragraphs, but it feels like an accomplishment.  I used one of the Inktober drawings for my inspiration.

This section needs more work than
I have had the time to give it.
We only had a limited amount of mulch,
and the tulips got it.  😁

One of today's finds.
That is me holding C, and K is standing next to us.
I don't remember where we were or who might have taken the picture.
However, the photographer may have been my cousin Evelyn because
there were other pictures that I think were from her in the same area.
