Gideon's Birthday

Today Gideon turned eight.  Last night they picked up a new video game and he played it today with K.  He got to choose all his meals today.  There were Eggo waffles for breakfast, corn dogs for lunch and 5 Guys for dinner.  Thankfully I was at work for the lunchtime meal choice.  😁  Oh, and root beer floats for dessert.  Gideon & I went for a walk to the grocery store this afternoon.  He is still coughing, a bunch.  I'm looking forward to when he is completely over this cold.

Today is the day that I thought was to be the last one for me in eighth grade.  I'm not sure now though.  It looks like the person I am covering for is out until Thursday.  I'll cover where I need to.  That is part of the job.  I'm enjoying spending time with last year's group of kids, but I am missing this year's group.  We shall see what tomorrow brings.

This morning brought an absolutely spectacular sunrise.  The colors, hues, and shading were bright and bold.  There was a sun pillar, too.  The pictures seem more accurate on my phone than on this page where they seem washed out. 

My happy things include: the sunrise, the sunset, Gideon's birthday, and getting over 10,000 steps.
