Happy Paraprofessional Day

At the beginning of the week I hit a wall with some of the professional development that I have been working on.  Today I pushed through that wall and finished through chapter 14.  Only 10 more chapters to go.  I will be working over the weekend to get done some of what I need to do.  One of the tasks I was given today (okay, asked to do) was to break down one of the science assignments into smaller steps.  This is not my strongest point, but I will do my best.

Tonight is my last night in this house.  I didn't get everything done that I should have.  Instead I took much of the night off and played Minecraft.  Minecraft has educational software that they are offering for free during the pandemic.  Over the weekend I'm going to see what I can find out about it for a 9 AM Google Meet on Monday morning.  It will be a busy weekend with these things and moving too.

Keeping busy helps to not think about the pandemic as much for me.

Friday is fun lunch time with the case manager.  A few of the students get onto a Google Meet for 30 minutes and play a game of Kahoot.  Today the game was on germ spreading.  One of the questions had to do with whether or not to wash your hands after touching a person.  The answer was no. We all got this answer wrong because normally one wouldn't wash their hands, but now, with this pandemic, we would.  My happy today was this group and that again, kids were happy to see me and be involved.

Another happy for today is finding out that some people in the Barony have been busy making favors for me during this.  Next SCA event, I should be prepared to give them out!

Happy Paraprofessional Day.
