Turkeys

The other employees where I work have been more than understanding about my leaving.  Some even dreaming for a few moments that they could leave the job as well-because covid.  I don't think that they will, which is good, the school needs a staff if it is to remain open.  All the same, I hope they remain healthy.  We were approved to adopt kittens today.  It will still be a while before we meet them because of covid.  This is and the list below are my happy things for today:

• Tonight during the theme music to Star Trek Next Generation some of the family put in lyrics.  This isn't unusual, but tonight they started using the word star wherever they could.  Things like Star-Luc Picard and Marina Staris.  I know it is a you-had-to-be-there moment, but it was funny.  One of these days I am going to video record their antics.
• I've been finding different rail trails on the map.  This makes me happy.  
• Walking along the rail trails also makes me happy.  I went another mile or so down one today with a friend.
• Watching the students create their first air rockets is great.  I most likely won't get to see the final competition.  I'm looking forward to the practice runs.
• Turkeys flying.
