First Day Back to Work

The first day back to work went okay.  It was great to see coworkers again, but being with so many people inside after not being with people inside since March was a tad anxiety producing.  I only had a little over three hours sleep last night so in the first part of the day the anxiety helped me stay awake.  In the afternoon I was mostly working by myself and that made it harder to stay awake.  When I got home I took a nap before going out to the garden.

Later, Z and I walked the property.  When I showed him the groundnut flower and told him what I knew, he decided to dig it up a little and find the edible tuber.  It was a little early to harvest, but now we know what to look for.  The fruit on the Autumn olive trees is ripe and so are some of the Concord grapes.  So even though the garden itself isn't doing the greatest, many of the previously existing things are.  My happy for the day is the walk.  We saw turkeys, talked plants, and talked plans for a trail to go through the property.
