Fruit

Things at work are starting to come together for the school to open next week.  There are many changes this year because of the pandemic.  Obvious changes like wearing masks and staying distant but others like where and how they have lunch as well as getting off and on the bus.  It has been a long three days and I am looking forward to the long weekend.

After work, Z's mom came by and we all picked grapes and autumn olives.  I also tried to pull some bittersweet and other weeds.  The birds did not seem very happy that we were harvesting their autumn olives.  We have a bunch of fruit now that we need to learn how best to process.  We pulled a bunch of the grape vines down out of a tree to help it be healthy.  Next spring I am hoping that we get to the grapes earlier in the season to prune and tame them to grow onto an arbor rather than choke out trees.  Getting out and working on the property is my happy for today.

Stay safe.
