Sheep

There has been an archery competition happening in the barony south of us.  Today was the last day and K and I traveled south to compete.  They had the range set up in such a way that we were pretty safe and always outside.  The shoot was to protect the sheep from our barony that had disappeared south in the beginning of the year.

I failed to take any pictures.  On one of the targets, we had to shoot the arrows around a sheep target, without shooting the sheep.  This would form a fence to protect them.  The other shoots involved a target with the picture of a wolf at the top, a shortened pool noodle under the wolf that represented a gate with a picture of two sheep, one on either side of the gate.  The objective here was to hit either the wolf or the gate, or the target, but not the sheep.  This was a very fun shoot, until I shot the last arrow and hit one of the sheep.  Still, it was a very fun and is my happy for today.  Other happy things are:

  • Getting a walk in the rain and talking on the phone with TF.
  • C made cookies.
  • We are looking into getting cats/kittens.  Have I mentioned that one already in the last few days?
  • I started writing for NaNoWriMo.  I don't expect to get 50,000 words, I'm hoping for some words every day.  I feel that I have been doing pretty well at reaching some daily goals lately and I'm hoping that this won't become one thing too many.

Stay safe.
