Outdoor Time

It seems that my routine of writing this is still good, but actually publishing it when I am finished, not so much.  Yesterday's blog was published just a few hours ago.

Today I went out with K to deliver some cookies to some friends.  It was done as safely as we could.  Getting to see people, even for just a few seconds, was wonderful.  I so miss hugging though.  Other happy things for today:

  • Going out to do this with K meant a good deal of mother-daughter time.  It isn't like we aren't with each other every day, but it was good to just go out for a bit and talk about whatever popped up.
  • This morning I went for a walk at the conservation area nearby.  I was relieved that there were footprints to follow.   The few times I have been there were not enough to find the path under the snow.   There were signs of animals eating pine cones.
  • Going through our property I noticed that the deer had decided to walk in my footprints.  So had what I assume is a dog print.  Perhaps I should ask for one of those wildlife motion detector cameras for the back property for Christmas…
  • C and I broke up some of the ice on the driveway.  I decided to use a pitchfork to break up the pile and it worked really well.
  • I'm very much appreciating the boot jack that my grandmother painted. It helps remove my boots without as much bending.

The swamp area along the street, I wonder
if it will become skateable.

Hungry critters left behind piles of pieces.

Across the river.

Stay safe!
