Stirring the Dye Pot

What a packed day!  After work I went to a friend's house to do more dyeing.  This was the last of what needs to be orange for the event coming up at the end of the month.  If I ever dye fabric like this again (and I hope I do) I want to remember to take some ibuprofen beforehand to combat the back ache from all the stirring.  Other than that it was a lot of fun talking with friends.  They even invited me to stay for dinner.  😋

After we were fed and the fabric was hanging to dry, I got a message that there were some new people at the SCA craft night.  I decided to try and get there before craft night ended at nine and maybe meet these new people.  I arrived about 30 minutes before craft night was supposed to end and left an hour and 30 minutes later.  There were about eleven people there, but only two that I hadn't met before.  One person had recently moved to the area and used to play SCA in the South.  The other person accidentally came across the SCA on the internet but also only recently moved to the area.  Nice people, I hope that all of us didn't overwhelm them.

So, a busy day.  There are many things for me to be happy about today too.  Work went well, I had fun dyeing and I survived meeting new people.  If you are new to reading my blog-I'm an introvert who wants to be an extrovert.  Because of that meeting new people can be rough.  Part of being a Baroness is meeting new people, I knew that going in, but it is a lot of fun too.
