Stress

Next paragraph is coronavirus stress, last is my happy for today-just in case readers want to skip the stress talk.

It seems that in about a month, probably sooner, I will be going back to work in the public school system.  I feel the need to put out there, that this is a scary undertaking.  Perhaps it is because I spent time in Austin, TX where the spread of the coronavirus is, or at least was, much more severe than up here.  Perhaps it is because I have spent so much time trying to keep to myself and to my core of people that the thought of being in a room with even ten people seems overwhelming (stranger danger).  Perhaps it is because there is just so much still that scientists are learning about this and the long term effects.  Whatever the reason, going back into school is causing me to feel stressed.

This morning while gardening I walked out by the fire pit and noticed something on one of the flowering plants.  These plants have pretty yellow flowers.  I haven't confirmed what they are yet.  Any how, the plant was bending over the from the weight of what turned out to be a goldfinch.  These little birds were finding something to eat (apparently they are vegetarians) on these plants.  I imagine they are eating the seeds.  Watching these little guys is my happy for today.

(Thanks TF for the wake up call.)

There are goldfinches in the picture, really.
Here is a link to a short video.

Stay safe.
