It is Monday and I am tired. Some days I sleep better than others, last night was not one of the better nights. I've been trying to be out of bed by seven and this morning went back to sleep until eight. The puzzle kept me up later than I should have let it. The morning went pretty well though, I got a bunch of the things on my to do list done. One of the things I am especially pleased with myself over is that I wrote more on one of the stories I started during NaNoWriMo. Other happy things for today:
Not only did we finish the puzzle we started last night, all the pieces were there. According to the box, the puzzle is from 1972. That all the pieces are still there seems almost miraculous.
On my walk out on the property today there were animal footprints that I didn't see yesterday. One that I can’t identify and turkey prints. It was suggested that the one not identified might be a weasel print; I think it is too large for weasel prints. If I remember, I may bring a ruler on tomorrow's walk and try for closer pictures.
We decorated some holiday cookies.
After dinner, C started a Dungeons and Dragons game. Z, E, Gideon, and I chose to play. It was a lot of fun. My character is a human paladin. We might end up playing a couple nights a week.
I obviously didn't check this picture for accuracy. It is the completed puzzle. |
