Gum

Even when I had a job I didn't get out of bed when I first got up.  So I don't know why I am surprised that I have a hard time motivating myself now that I am not working.  I get going, but later than I want to.  When I got going this morning I went for a walk out back on the property.  I may have found my mile hike around the back.  There will be a place that will need a lot of work because of the deadwood.  That is a task for the spring.  Some other things I am happy for today:

  • Being silly with a Christmas candle-see this.
  • Burning candles that are over thirty years old means that I won't be unpacking and packing them year after year anymore.  How do I know they are over thrity?  They were purchased from Zayre's which went out of business thitry years ago.
  • Watching chipmunks play in the underbrush.
  • Turkeys!
  • Below is a picture of a chain made from gum wrappers.  I made this when I was in grammar or middle school?  It was a long time ago.  This chain comes out to go on the Christmas tree, but I don't know where it will go this year.  It's around 24 feet long.  No, I didn't chew all that gum myelf.
Turkeys!

This is part of the area that might be made into a path in the spring.
It could also be that under there is a stream and the plan will change.

Another set of the candles still in their package.
My mom worked for Zayre so clearance finds were easy.

Wash your hands.
